OneNote for Windows 10 is still available for those who rely on it, and it will continue to work and receive important updates, but it will not be getting new features. As previously announced, OneNote for Windows 10 will reach end-of-support in October 2025
What is the difference between OneNote and OneNote for Windows 10?
The main difference between OneNote and OneNote for Windows 10 is the way in which notebooks are saved. With OneNote for Windows 10, all notebooks are stored in your OneDrive account and can’t be stored on your device. Microsoft calls these cloud notebooks
How do I use OneNote for the first time?
2. Create a Notebook
- Open the OneNote app.
- Click the Show Notebooks button.
- Then, click the ?+Notebook? button, which is at the bottom of the list that opens.
- Name your notebook from the Notebook Name box.
- Next, click Create Notebook.
Is Microsoft killing OneNote?
As a result, the current OneNote for Windows 10 app would be retired in the future and Microsoft would help users move from that app to the updated OneNote app sometime in 2022
